Blocked Intakes Cause Performance Loss in Diesel Engines
Lately Howell Automotive is seeing modern diesel engines in cars and 4WDs with clogged intake ports and manifolds resulting in a loss of performance and fuel economy.
Some of these deposits come from recycled gases vented from the engine crankcase. Howell Automotive can help with a system to remove solids and oil mist from the recycled gasses to significantly reduced the problem.

Cooling System Care
The cooling system is vital for your car's optimum performance and long-term engine reliability.

Fuel Economy and Emissions
The cooling system keeps the engine in specific temperature range, producing the best conditions in the engine for the complete combustion of the air fuel mixture, minimising fuel consumption and reducing emissions from unburnt fuel.
Wear and Stress
If the engine is too cold then the lubricating oil will not flow properly through the engine to protect the moving surfaces. Then if the engine gets too hot then the engine oil may break down reducing protection against engine wear. Another result of excessive engine temperature is weakening of components resulting in greater wear and possible premature engine failure.
Reduce Trouble with Simple checks.
Regular monitoring of your car's cooling system is a simple way of ensuring most problems are minor ones, conveniently and inexpensively fixed. [...more...]
